And Speonk just doesn't need that kind of service. Patchougue is really where it would be logical, as mentioned. Sayville is too short. Patchogue there's ABSOLUTELY no room for a yard (ironically the LIRR used to have a nice yard there along West Ave, but foolishly sold it decades ago, and it has been developed.Bellport has the room but would be a ridiculous spot to terminate trains, that leaves Mastic Shirley again..... |
