Not just the NYPD but sue the officers INDIVIDUALLY as well and very likely in FEDERAL court for civil rights violations. I had an incident (non transit related) with a police officer once where I threatened to sue and his attitude was basically "go ahead, the city has a lot of money." If these officers were compelled to realize that their fancy homes in the suburbs and their fancy cars coulod be taken away from them, they wouldn't act so arrogant. |
