I do have another observation - based on the number of photos I see posted here daily and the fact that virtually no encounters with police were being reported I presumed that the situation on NYC Transit had improved. Apparently that assumption was not correct.I had no problems last summer when I was photographing the models on various lines. I did have a minor issue that was reported here on the holiday train but that had nothing to do with my right to take pictures :) Were there really no incidents or were people who post here just being quiet about them? Based on the recent rash of reported incidents in Penn Station and several other reports that are starting to pop up on Flickr I wonder if we just started to become complacent and that the NYPD is now escalating its war on photographers once more. |
