Posted by kp5308 on Fri Jan 23 13:42:34 2009 Lehigh Valley K5 Pacific as built by Baldwin in 1916: 2101 & 2102 were streamlined for John Wilkes service (New York Penn Station-Mauch Chunk PA),by industrial designer Otto Kuhler in 1938:  A Pennsylvania RR electric would ferry LV trains to & from Penn Station. The power would be exchanged at NK Interlocking, near HUNTER on the NEC. It's the present route used by NJT's Raritan Valley Line to access Newark Penn Station. |
