Aircraft using the Marine Air Terminal use LaGuardia's runways, so technically, Marine Air Terminal is just another one of LaGuardia's terminals. It's positioned in such a way as to allow the terminal to be used by amphibious aircraft.The Marine Air Terminal at LaGuardia Airport in New York City remains the only active airport terminal dating from the first generation of passenger travel in the United States--the "Golden age of the flying boat." –Wikipedia |
