Heh. Left this thread alone, because I know the "photogs" love rubbing the poor intern in charge of "da company paper" nose in it all ... but as someone who did the 70's with handles and keys, and TOOLS, one of the FEW things I enjoy in looking at photos here, and on Dave's place is OLDER stuff than the arnines, wherever they happen to be. Riding the old B&O on SIRT, Lo, Hi, and jalopy Vees on the AyeArTee (missed the MUDC's since I came along in 1950 myself) is the kind of photos *I* like myself ... SEEN all the rest, operated many. :)

I have enough "keepsake photos" to build BVE ... but like many others, I'm into the stuff they DIDN'T qualify me on for schoolcar ... but then again, having tried to operate gate cars in a museum, amd I *ever* grateful I never had to run "reversed stands" Q gate cars on the Myrt, nor do C division with them. Reversed stands are UNNATURAL, and having PERSONALLY operated 143's (which I *hated* with the windshield wiper on the side to operate, and COLD gray metal to lay your arm on whilst doing so) they're even MORE unnatural!

I'm an old Arnine/R32 guy (those are what I ran most on the D) it was hard enough remembering "THIS one is NOT a SMEE!" heh. But what came before I got "appointed" was even MORE a trip to check out, especially those RARE "undercar" and "truck differences and "maple with flag" between the axles variations, that I *still* enjoy "show me what I ain't SEEN! :)

You, and the rest of 100 are not alone in that. (grin)
