LIRR had most of their stations on the south side of the tracks.Anyway, It may still make some sense now. People can buy tomorrow's ticket today, and then not be caught in a line when the train comes. Most people, of course, do not buy tickets at that machine, they have monthly tickets mailed to their homes. ROAR |
