Did those snobbish old timers on the JFK express look down at me! How many times at the end of my job on the cruddy B the TD would have me, the rookie, lay up a JFK consist north of the station. That was fun laying up on the hill hoping the handbrakes would hold on all 3 cars in case of a power interruption. Equally fun in walking back to the station up that steep grade. |
