That shouldn't make any difference. When the original Pelham 123 was shot, the 6 fleet consisted of R-17s, 26s and 28s yet the movie train was cpmposed of R-22s which seldom if ever ran on the Pelham Line (I do recall seing one in the late 1950s but I don't recall seeing any after that). Another inconsistency is that if the movie makers are going to want to be THAT accurate, then the title of the movie needs to be changed to "The Taking of Pelham 1323" since NYCT scheduling and operations now use the 24 hour (or military) clock instead of the old 12 hour AM/PM clock in use at the time of the original movie. |
