It was not a mistake to convert to subway, the line would never have gotten the frequent service the subway provides, with the LIRR.The northern part of the line was also supposed to become subway, but money ran out, so it was only connected to the Liberty el. THAT is where the mistake was made, the mistake was not the conversion itself, just that the whole line wasn't used. |
