The Hoboken to Port Jervis fare is an MNRR fare.NJT fares are generally more expensive that MNRR fares. If you take a look at the Pascack Valley line fares, you'll see that NJT actually has to hold down their fares at some stations in Northern New Jersey so that they aren't higher than the MNRR fares at the stations in Rockland. Riders in Zone 10 on the Pascack Valley line or Main/Bergen line pay less for their tickets that their Zone 10 brethren on the Montclair/Boonton line because the MNRR fares are so low. |
