Graffiti is a sign of the transit systems out-of-control bad years of the 1970s and early 1980s. Vandalism is not art. The subway system of the 70s was not a pretty sight.The NYC of the 70s was not a pretty sight either. It's absurd that we now have people with "1970s Graffiti Nostalgia". What was attrctive about a city covered in spray paint? (I can sort of understand "1970s Disco Nostalgia", but that's for an off-topic thread on another day.) |
