Posted by chuchubob on Mon Nov 5 12:25:17 2007 The Lackawanna Festival steam special from Delaware Water Gap to Scranton on Saturday had to be assisted at one point by a pair of Delaware Lackawanna Alco C425's, which were stored overnight across from Bridge 60 Tower, then moved into the parking lot Sunday morning to make room for the derailment activity.  Apparently while the excursion train was backing across Bridge 60 to enter Steamtown's yard, DL&W coach 550 split a switch and the train continued for several car lengths before stopping with 550's west truck plowing into the ballast.      Bridge 60  temporart road of ballast and crossties to enable the rerailing/cleanup operations
