All about right, except that the E-L didn't have a tunnel to Manhattan and instead relied wholly on PATH and bus from Hoboken. People have also postulated that the PATH connection was what saved Hoboken; but Erie Terminal and Exchange Place also had the PATH connection and did not survive.Funny how CNJ had to worry about the taxes but PRR didn't though, right? |
