Allow me to explain,In the 60`s and 70`s my mom her friends and my sisters used to go shopping there, dragging me along. The best part of the trip for me was riding the GG from Classon Ave. to Woodhaven Blvd. There was no mezzanine entry to the stores that I recall. It was downhill from there. As they tried on garments and such I occupied my self play with straight pins, pretending they were trains. Couldn`t wait to get back on the GG to go home. I tease my Mom to this day and say, "That`s why I hate shopping." |
