Yes..they chased the riders away..and it was done INTENTIONALLY to "prove" ridership was down...not worth the effort to renovate...exactly like the Bronx 3rd avenue EL..the outer end of the Jamaica Ave El..and the Culver el..By the way..has anyone taken a really Good look at the remaining structure over McDonalds Avenue? There are some stations with HOLES as big as your fist in the Mezz walls..crumbling wooden floors..spaulding concrete...just LOOKS unsafe..like you are going to fall thur the floor to the pavement below. |
