Maybe I can answer some of those questions.R36ML car 9542 and its mate 9543, IIRC are still at the Transit Museum...well, technically. They're sitting right outside the museum in the tunnel on the B-Division track, if i'm not mistaken. 9564 sure does look horrible, but i doubt it will be scrapped soon. 9074 is linked to it because for the simple reason, its mate 9075 is at Queens Burough Hall and they needed something to couple 9074 to. Whether the R33 will become a work car of if it will stay coupled to to 9564...it's anyone's guess. 9565 was supposed to go to a museum that was going to be built in Babylon, Long Island. But the museum was never built...or at least not yet...but last time I've heard, 9565 was stripped of some parts. 9588 and 9589 still at Concourse Yard...and vandalized. And 9595, I guess is already gone. As for R6 100, and the two R16s, I guess the CIY personell have to just find the time...or the manpower via volunter work or some similar means to get them up and running again. |
