I really have no gripe with operating any of the equipment. A train is a train. I'll make adjustments in my operation for a particular consist or a particular model. My gripe with any of the equipment is strictly from an ergonomic standpoint. I prefer standing up much of the time. The controls on a 32 are better suited for my stand-up trip than a 38 (remember, I'm 6'3"). The 40's, 42s and 46s are very comfortable for sitting down. The 44 is an ergonomic nightmare but I find I've gotten used to them. It hasn't chased me off the line yet. :-) |
