One little accident brought down the whole Vegas monorail system for MONTHE. If you like monorails, go to wally world. Theme parks and other novelty applications are the only place they belong. I and other members of the Srracuse railfan community lobbyied a local mall developer not to build a monorail as part of a mega center project he is building in Syracuse. I pray to god that stupid monorail isn't built. it would thke tens of millions of dollars away from an existing rail system while costing the developer hundreds of millions of dollars. It is a TRAGEDY when ANY monorail is built outside a kiddie park. |
