Yeah..it would have been one of the most complicated juctions EVER built..on par with Hoyt st Schemerhorn..and 47/50 st 6th avenue...!The 1929 plan had TWO river tunnels connecting..from the west..double decked..with different plans for the east juction.. The 39' plan had THREE RIVER TUNNELS! Second Avenue.. Worth st.. and Houston street..! Amazing. Imagine if they were to actually FINISH these lines? |
