This is the kind of service pattern most have been wishing for so many years, two lines on the express and two on the local. Before 2001, you can't forget that both the N and R ran local on Broadway instead of sending the N express after Canal St because the R could not handle the local by itself. If you look back there always has been at the least two locals on Broadway, remember the EE?The W serves it's purpose well and it's purpose is to supplement the R since the N runs express and besides, the L doesn't need anymore R40/R42s when the R160s will be showing up soon. |
