I won't make a practice of mentioning names in the future, but Bill is well known as one of the MOD architects, and rightly or wrongly, I think he deserves high praise for his efforts. It proves once again, sadly, that "no good deed goes unpunished." :-(The morons and a$$holes who messed it up for everybody else made me furious. I remember a 2004 revenue trip (the one right after Turkey Day) where I was enjoying the SMEE train on the 7 line. I got off at Shea to tape the train coming back from Main Street, and right after the train started to roll, some fool pulled a set of doors on the greenbird car. The train went OOS after that, after only half the day...messed it up for all. They tested those doors for three hours that weekend, finding them all in working order. It's too bad that, again, we and the road employees both have to pay for this nonsense... |
