Brooklyn, Bath, and Coney Island |

Posted by New Flyer #857 on Fri Oct 2 16:43:49 2026 Looking over some of the old routings of the Brooklyn railroads, I was wondering if telltale signs of the one-time existence of these railroads, especially their stations, are still around, even if they are in the form of tiny adaptations to buildings and such. For example, looking at the old Brooklyn, Bath, and Coney Island line, would there be any visual sign of the fact that it once ran along Bath Avenue, or, again for example, that there was a station at 74th and New Utrecht? Even for the other nearby railroads in that section of Brooklyn I'd be interested in any remains that can be observed from public spaces today. (I'm not talking about the blatantly obvious like where tracks are literally still showing in the street or yard leads that show up on typical track maps). |
