I knew that the Brooklyn Trolleys ran until 1956 but I wasn't aware that service over the bridges lasted that long.If you don't mind I will add this new information to the Almanac post to complete the story citing yourself as a source. They all ran directly from a bridge into an off-street terminal without ever entering any part of the Manhattan street grid. This is true. The same could be said for the Queensborough Bridge Railway.
