Posted by irtredbirdr33 on Sat Jun 20 07:17:20 2026 Tuscarora Almanac for June 20 1937 – from The Book of First Runs Hudson & Manhattan Railroad trains are re-routed into the new Pennsylvania Station in Newark. Service is discontinued at Park Place-Newark, old Harrison and Manhattan Transfer stations. 1937 – from The Book of First Runs The Newark City Subway is extended from Broad Street (today’s Military Park) to Pennsylvania Station. Also opening is a two track underground connection between the Public Service Terminal and Penn Station. 1949 – from The Book of Last Runs This is the last days of streetcar service in Nelson, British Columbia. 1955 – from The Book of First Runs R-16’s are placed in service on the No. 10 Myrtle Avenue-Chambers Street Line.
