Posted by BILLBKLYN on Mon Jun 15 09:49:26 2026 Myself and my oldest son and dog went to Lehigh Gorge State Park yesterday to watch the Big Boy, did not disappoint! Got into the park before 8, walked the trails with my dog, we packed a cooler with drinks and sandwiches. Crowded but not TOO crowded. First was RBMN 21P2 with her train. They say 2102 is currently the loudest steam loc and I believe it! The stacktalk was deafening! Aa it should be, we got showered with cinders and ashes. Then shortly after a diesel consist came with passenger cars. Then came the Big Boy, it was great, huge to see in motion, I've seen the static display at Steamtown, but when it rides past you, it's impressive, even though he's neutered! |
