I've been searching and searching for some details of the problem at Dekalb yesterday (4/15/26) and finally I hit pay dirt. https://youtu.be/1uX4WxKsP4c?si=nCn0nKZ6Lt5We-w4. The video, about 20 minutes long, shows the evacuation of an R68 Q that was stuck behind the disabled train. Where it gets neat is the last 4 or 5 minutes, when the passengers in the R68 Q cross over into an R211 B and continue through it till they reach Atlantic Ave. The video is very clear and real and makes you feel like you were there. The crews were very informative and helpful to the passengers. Interestingly, the storm doors on the 211 apparently cannot be latched open to allow easy passage. Also some neat shots as they pass through the motorman's compartment.Bravo!!! |
