And in 1970, this was the last day of the 20-cent fare. I was in the city that day and still paid 20 cents for a dime-sized token (and even rode on a prewar Abbott train from PABT to 14th St., with no headlights on the lead motor.The 30-cent fate took effect the following day, also a Sunday, with quarter-sized tokens. |
