A distance of .08 miles is only 400 feet - about 5 car lengths. Even if they were both very short platforms there would hardly be any space between them. There is a slight typo in there. It should read 69.8 not .08. However a did consult the Harlem Line Employee Timetable issued in February 1, 1971. The official mileage for "STATE HOSPITAL" (today's HARLEM VALLEY-WINGDALE) is 69.1. The mileage for "WINGDALE" is 69.7. IIRC the Wingdale station was simple a three sided shack by 1977. It was at the crossroads with Pleasant Ridge Road (NY Rt 21). Larry, RedbirdR33 |
