Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn (from which the thoroughfare of the Coney Island terminal got its secondary name), despite L.B. Stillwell's contributions to the railroad and rapid transit industries, was not named after him directly, but rather a settler named Nicholas Stillwell (1603-1671); L.B. was descended from that family tree.
