Palisades Amusement Park straddled both Cliffside Park and Fort Lee. You may have seen that short, diagonal street that runs southeast from Palisades Ave. That's a remnant of the park; buses used it.

I remember hearing that the park would close after the 1971 season and there was talk of relocating it to Sussex County, sinilar to Elitch Gardens in Denver. They moved from their original location along 38th Ave. to a new site across the freight tracks from Ball Arena. The Central Platte Valley light rail spur serves both; they even share the same station.
