The pilot had already bailed out and the plane crashed into an open area in the yard. Ed. Note: There is never a dull day in Brooklyn. 1971 – from The Book of Last Runs This will be the last day of operation for Palisades Amusement Park located in Fort Lee, New Jersey. The park sat on a nearly forty acre site high atop the Palisades. The park featured a narrow gauge railroad and a monorail as well as the “Cyclone” roller coaster.
