Posted by AlM on Fri Jun 20 19:26:41 2025 Maybe I just missed this on Subchat, but suddenly I'm seeing random articles saying that the MTA is going to send both the 2 and 3 to Flatbush to eliminate crossovers at Rogers Junction.It sounds like it requires switches east of Nostrand so that an eastbound express can switch onto the local tracks. Much cheaper than flying junction but still requires work. And now the 3 doesn't have a yard at either end of its run. It also sounds like there isn't any really precise time frame for this. |
