My copy of The Rights of Trains lists whistle indications as rules 14A through W, with only (F) and (M) missing. Rule 14M, one extremely long blast, is for approaching stations, junctions, and diamond crossings. It is no longer in the LIRR rule book.
The "Rights" also says that the 14L may be prolonged or repeated until the crossing is reached, but I have never heard anyone blow a double 14L. Perhaps at very low speeds that would make sense.
