The WF R-33s and R-36s in the Bluebird scheme were my favorite cars as a kid (prior to the R-40 slants in their original configuration). I always loved catching them as I rode with my parents on the GCP on the tracks over Roosevelt Avenue or catching them on the Queens side of the 59th St. Bridge (as we called it) after or before we drove over it.

Many fond memories of me waiting outside the gate as my father would park in the Corona Yard (he worked Pelham and Woodlawn when I was a kid but then went to Flushing just before I hit my teens the last 10+ years of his career). We would then take the 7 from Willets Point to Grand Central and transfer to the 4 to Yankee Stadium to catch the Yanks and do the reverse home.
