Even though the Yellow line like the Purple line were former Railroads (Not true RRs but interurbans) Its clearances were the same as CTA’s since the North Shore had to clear the CTA station platforms. As it was, the Yellow Line platforms at Dempster and part of the platform at Howard had to be shaved back to clear the SOAC. Temporary wooden gap fillers were installed at both locations that would be extended when regular CTA equipment stopped there. |
