I don't think I knew at that time that it would be closing, but I just wanted to get a ride in. back then, I knew very little of the history of the subway in general and the Culver line in particular, so I didn't get why the Culver only used one track. Glad I got to ride it, as I missed out on lower Myrtle and the Third Ave el (I wasn't railfanning by myself in 1969, and I was living out of state in early 1973). |
