I last rode the SS Culver Shuttle in late 1974. By then the line was literally crumbling. The original wooden platforms were rotting and patched up in places, I'm surprised no one ever fell through to the street. The platform lights at 13 Ave were frequently out. No way the MTA was going to throw away money rehabbing a shuttle used by few riders. |
