Indeed, all 4 tracks are needed for commuter service. I also can't believe the south Jamaica extension of the Archer Ave line could have used the AtlanticBranch, with everything else squeezed onto the Montauk branch, even with the assumption the West Hempstead branch would be abandoned. |
