Posted by IRTRedbirdR33 on Mon Nov 29 07:10:03 2021 Tuscarora Almanac – November 29, 1954 – The Book of Last Runs Ellis Island, New York US Immigration and Naturalization Service The Immigrant Station on Ellis Island is closed along with the ferry service between that location and Whitehall Street. The ferryboat ELLIS ISLAND, built in 1904 is tied up at the island for many years before finally sinking. Her upper works are gone but her hull can still be seen below water at the old ferry slip.
