Denver's TREX project, a massive undertaking that widened I-25 from Broadway to Lincoln Ave. and included 19.5 miles of light rail, was completed in five years by using the design-and-build method. Initially it was expected to take seven years, but the contractor said they could do it in five - and they did. |
