If they are going to extend the platforms, I would look to extend them out to the full 600 feet and return the line to two tracks so in an emergency, the (B) and/or (Q) can use them and actually increase capacity on the line as well. Perhaps on weekends in that scenario, the (B) could actually run as a shuttle between Franklin Avenue and Coney Island and replace the (S) then.That would also be part of a longer-term plan to connect the current shuttle to another line. |
