Actually, 82nd Street in Jackson Heights was formerly 25th Street. Some of the apartment buildings on that street that I have seen, and still to this day, carry their old and current address numbers on small gold plated signs as attached on each of their columns.Ely Avenue in Long Island City was renamed as 23rd Street. -William A.
