In Under The Sidewalks Of New York, Brian Cudahy tells the story, perhaps apocryphal, of a young newlywed couple who were looking to buy a house in Crown Heights in 1950. The agent told them that the upcoming transit bond issues would allow the subway to be extended along Utica Ave., making the husband's commute to Manhattan an easy one. The couple, Cudahy wrote, moved in, grew up, and retired to Florida. The subway had yet to be built.

I think the grandchildren of today's Millennials might see the Utica Ave extension and the continuation of SAS by the time they are ready to retire to Florida.
