It’s not simply a matter of having a subway station nearby, but it’s about commute lengths and commute options. Think about all the people who don’t take a job because it’s hard to get to, or who choose not to live in a particular neighborhood because it would cause a difficult commute. Then there are those people who drive to work. The RBB line will simultaneously improve both radial commutes (to/from Manhattan) and cross commutes (between outlying points not on the way to Manhattan). |
