In hindsight, they subway lines may been better off with all-numbers than with letters.Double numbers are more logical and more comprehensive than double letters. With numbers, there really is no limit to how many one can have, whereas with letters, there is a sense of an impending limit, even if you can do double letters... ...Or maybe make the IRT division all-letters, given the relatively limited amount of branches and main lines, and make the B division all-numbers. |
