Right, but the original point was bulls-eye lighting.

I 'd say Pennsy influence, or ex-Pennsy staffers, as H&M engineering people designed it, just like mid-1950's MP54 rebuilds has them, and leaf-spring trucks in the Commonwealth truck and porthole side door windows on the P72's and MP72's, hallmarks of PRR design.
