I did not know that the IND free transfer to the 6 at Lex/51 was such a recent thing. Main: Maybe I shuold clarify the above. The free transfer point was established on Sunday,December 11, 1988 coinciding with the opening of the Archer Avenue Line. I was there that day and it was not open. I assume that it did open the following Monday. I do not remember the details but I believe that there was a temporary passageway in use until June 1989. Does anyone here remember more details?
