Yes, I've heard stories, or "the story" about that. Don't rememeber his name, but when some bigwig assumed a top managing position, he demanded that all old LIRR records in the building, anything "dated" be thrown out immediately and threatened legal action against anyone who tried to save material or take it home. This was told to me second hand, by a friend, regular LIRR commuter who had heard this from a conductor.You ccan only shake your head. Just so sad. |
