It is so easy to be an armchair general here. Most of us do it here, myself included. The Astoria line opened in 1917, twelve years before Glen Curtis Airport replaced the Gala Amusement Park. It later became North Beach and, later, NY Municipal Airport. Now, we call it LaGuardia Apt. Queens had a lot of open space, back then. Have you seen pictures around the area of the Flushing Line, too?
